KEMA N.V., one of the biggest European certification bodies, has been established for more than 70 years. Since then KEMA enjoys a high reputation in product certification, system certification and inspection services. The head office in The Netherlands is also operating worldwide through its KEMA Quality Network which is a group of service companies that provides partnership and international professional expertise.

In order to provide fast and efficient certification service for companies in the Asia region, KEMA is working together with AQSIQ, the State General Administration for Quality Supervision and Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China. KEMA will bring to this alliance its highest level expertise in the area of product and system certification as well as inspection services. Under this alliance, KEMA Quality Hong Kong Limited was established in 1996. With its fully equipped laboratory and experienced personnel, most of the tests can be locally performed. The cooperation also extended the service into China to assist manufacturers to export their goods into European and global markets.
